Sharana is a Pondicherry-based organisation that was established in 2000 to address the educational needs of disadvantaged and street children.
Majany has supported a carpentry training project for several years. Young apprentices (in annual classes of 10) from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds and particularly affected by alcohol (“school dropouts”) learn the carpentry trade.
